Since acquisition, the team has been been furiously working to integrate cross-promotion functionality for marketers into the TUNE® Marketing Console. With the this technology, a marketer who has more than one property can easily display an advertisement in their app for another app they own. This, combined with the ability to measure other internal channels, such as email, SMS, and push already available with TUNE, makes up the owned media portion of the TUNE® Marketing Console. For the launch of the TMC, “Cross promotion campaigns” are available by requesting access through the dashboard. “We realized app marketers had difficulty managing the inventory between their apps - and we built a tool that represents and enables control over that tradeoff,” said Andrew Boos, CEO of Appfuel. “This mission of transparency and simplicity couldn't be more aligned with that of the TUNE® Marketing Console. We are proud to see the launch of this unified tool and excited to see it create value for our customers." “TUNE’s commitment to finding the right teams and commitment to developing innovative solutions across multiple channels are among the many reasons I advised Appfuel to work with TUNE and their excellent leadership team,” said Dan Irish, Appfuel’s advisor throughout the acquisition process. Highly recommend. If I were to keep only one thought, it would be that the market is bifurcating, with increasing valuation discrimination between unspecific, low value software and vertical, mission-critical, AI-resilient software. Wasn't the apocalypse actually meant to be like this, with the righteous on one side, and the wicked on the other? https://lnkd.in/eCiSWz2M 4 Kal Amin 7K followers I’m thrilled to officially announce our $3M seed investment in Propel People, a company we built inside the 1848 Ventures studio to tackle one of the biggest challenges facing the #construction industry today: the skilled #labor shortage. For small and medium-sized contractors, hiring isn't just a challenge. It's the number one threat to their growth, profitability, and safety. With 94% of contractors struggling to find qualified workers, it’s clear that traditional hiring methods aren't built for the trades. That’s why we built Propel People. It’s a mobile-first, AI-powered hiring platform designed for how construction actually works: in the field. By leveraging smart candidate ranking, instant #SMS-based screening, and a fully #bilingual interface, Propel helps contractors build great crews faster and more efficiently. I’m also thrilled to formally announce that industry veteran Dexter Bachelder is at the helm as CEO. Having worked with Dexter and the team over the last few months, we've already seen the impact of his leadership. His 25 years of experience scaling construction tech companies will be instrumental as Propel People enters this initial stage of growth. This investment reinforces our core thesis at 1848 Ventures: building AI-native companies that solve fundamental pain points for the #SMBs that form the backbone of our economy. A huge congratulations to Dexter and the entire Propel People team on this milestone. We are incredibly proud to partner with you to support the people who build our world. Much bigger outcomes + less ESOP dilution = better vintages. **Bear Case:** We face high entry prices, but also an increasing number of companies struggling as they navigate the AI landscape, so you have a higher failure rate. You also still have "giant" winners for VCs but less 3x's - think more 0's and 10x's. Also lots of value accrues to the frontier labs and S tier companies but they burn so much capital in the competition that we see insane dilution and compressed returns because of higher entry prices & more capital needs 45 2 Comments Jud Mackrill Milemarker • 6K followers Consolidation is creating compounding chaos. Every acquisition adds another tech stack. Another CRM. Another portfolio system. Another layer of complexity. Most aggregators just absorb the mess and move on. Jim Dickson didn't want to repeat that cycle. When he launched Elevation Point, he built an accelerator—not just another roll-up. That means taking control of data from day one and putting it to work in a compounding, impactful way for partner firms. We're honored to be their data infrastructure partner. Already deep in the build—connecting Practifi, Salesforce FSC, Addepar, Orion, Goldman Sachs FICC and Equities and everything in between into one unified layer and a world class application and workflow layer. Real-time dashboards. Automated workflows. Data that compounds value instead of chaos. This is what intentional growth looks like. Excited for what's ahead with Jim and the entire Elevation Point team. 🔗 ThinkAdvisor coverage in comments 36 12 Comments Erin Price-Wright Andreessen Horowitz • 5K followers Honored and excited to partner with Drew Baglino and the incredible team at Heron Power as they re-imagine the electric grid for the modern world. Power in America is not zero sum. We deserve access to cheap and abundant electricity and we should win the AI race. And we must build the capacity to manufacture critical technology here at home. When faced with existential challenges, we deploy technology against them. And we win. 55 1 Comment Jake Saper Emergence Capital • 32K followers 2026 will be the year of reckoning for AI-enabled services. This model has soaked up venture dollars on a bold promise: unlock TAMs an order of magnitude larger than SaaS while preserving SaaS-like gross margins. But unlike SaaS, revenue growth and strong logo retention don’t prove product–market fit. You only truly have it when AI is doing a material share of the work at a high gross margin. Otherwise, you’ve built a good services firm financed with the wrong kind of capital. We call it "Mirage PMF". Real PMF in AI-enabled services requires proving you can scale non-linearly relative to your costs. To get there, your AI must drive measurable improvements in cost, quality, or speed—or ideally, all 3. That distinction will stop being theoretical when these companies go out to raise growth rounds this year. Investors will stop paying for the *promise* of AI-enabled delivery and start underwriting proof in the P&L that machines, not armies of humans, are carrying the load. This will inevitably cause some of today’s fastest-growing, best-branded AI services companies to stall, take painful terms, or quietly sell when it becomes clear they’re still mostly human-powered. The shakeout will be uncomfortable but healthy, as it will force founders to redirect energy from bespoke customer demands to internal AI tooling and to choose importance over urgency. Ultimately, it will separate true AI-enabled services from beautifully marketed outsourcing. And that’s a feature, not a bug. AI-enabled services remain one of the most promising new business models in decades, and in 2026, the winners will finally earn their multiples. 221 39 Comments Somesh Dash 11K followers The best founders don’t just build products; they reframe the problem. Ryan Alshak has done exactly that with Laurel - turning time from a background task into a source of insight, alignment, and leverage. That's what we're seeing with Blitzy. Really excited to back Brian Elliott, Sid Pardeshi and the Blitzy team as they bring autonomous software development to the enterprise. To mark the milestone, I sat down with Brian to discuss how the definition of a best in class company has evolved since the T2D3 era, why enterprises have to modernize before they can reap the productivity benefits of AI coding tools, and why we believe this team is building a generational company right here from Boston. CONGRATS to Brian and Sid on the $200M growth round and continued momentum. They’re spending tons of capital on other people’s models to support pilots that don’t go anywhere. We built WellSaid differently, and we're proud of that. Today we're announcing our venture debt round with Multiplier Capital, and the story behind it matters: - We pioneered, own, and operate our own patent-protected audio generation models at scale - We create, own, or license all of our training data sets - We partner with (and pay) real actors for all of our vocal performance models and inference - We built our own AI-native Studio for creating, editing, and publishing professional content - We remain laser focused on voiceover in terms of quality, control, and fidelity for our customers For our enterprise customers, it means WellSaid can deliver the performance quality that matches their brand, the performance rights that the market requires, all at a competitive price. Multiplier recognized the value of WellSaid’s approach to AI voice in terms of vision and economics, and we were similarly enthusiastic about Multiplier’s approach to building great software companies as an efficient complement to traditional venture capital. I’m absolutely convinced that AI-native software businesses can and should be built more efficiently, even during boom times. Depth, not breadth, drives more impact for our customers. I’m very proud to partner with Multiplier Capital (Ash V., Jordan Kreke, Eddie Saoud) at WellSaid as we enter this new stage of growth. And most of all, thank you to our customers—you’re the reason the fundamentals are there to speak for themselves! 85 14 Comments Matt Ocko DCVC • 13K followers Yesterday, two DCVC-backed companies raised about a half billion dollars. In today's funding environment, that's not that exceptional... Together, the two companies just happen to enable gigawatt-scale AI compute, except in the unprecedentedly small space of only about 40 shipping containers, no exotic cooling required. You have to wonder what the US military might do with a gigawatt-equivalent of compute they could fit in a few C5 flights... or a 100MW-compute platform that fits in a single rocket launch... Even that, in DCVC's world, isn't that exceptional. We like to say we help make the impossible and essential, profitable and available. But what is exceptional, and this is a theme with us folks, is that they are each only two of many of our companies delivering robustly on outcomes considered impossible on VC dollars or in reasonable time, at the point when we backed each company from very early on: - a safe, cost-effective, meltdown-proof, truck-portable 1 megawatt nuclear reactor (Radiant, see https://lnkd.in/gF3JAHwS) for American energy dominance - American-made AI semiconductor chips that match or outperform everything else at 100x the energy efficiency, on off-the-shelf models (Mythic, see https://lnkd.in/gWFdvZFT) We were able to make the calls on these, and how they could work together, along with similar calls on all of their brother and sister impossible companies, because of a very deep bench of unified scientific, engineering, operational, and business building experience considered passé by a lot of other folks. It's how we make the exceptional routine. 103 6 Comments Earnest Sweat Stresswood • 17K followers Two weeks ago on Swimming with Allocators, we sat down with David Clark, CIO at VenCap, to talk about what decades of venture data can teach allocators. One takeaway that stood out: discounts don’t matter as much as people think in venture secondaries. Because venture is such a power-law asset class, outcomes are driven by exposure to a few massive winners. Whether a stake is bought at a small discount, or even a premium, often matters far less than the quality of the underlying company and its upside. Great conversation on venture returns, manager selection, and the nuances of how allocators should think about secondary investments. 👇 Link in the comments. 26 2 Comments Chirag Meswani Indian Institute of… • 3K followers As traffic acquisition becomes increasingly intent-driven, users are still landing on static, one-size-fits-all web pages. A customer clicking a high-intent ad or arriving from a recommendation often sees the same experience as everyone else. Fibr is addressing this gap by enabling websites to recognize intent at the moment of arrival and adapt the experience in real time. Really excited to see Ankur Goyal, Pritam Roy and the team at Fibr AI building the important missing layer in the modern marketer’s arsenal !! 5 Salem Bagami Metatalent.ai • 43K followers The 2025 VC Concentration: What It Means for Builders, Investors, and Markets The numbers from Crunchbase tell a clear story: capital is concentrating in a small group of high-growth, founder-led companies. In 2025, roughly 70% of U.S. funding — more than $200 billion — flowed to 389 companies that raised rounds of $100 million or more. Even more striking, $90 billion of that sum went to just six companies that each secured more than $5 billion in funding last year. In contrast, about 6,000 other companies captured the remaining 30% of U.S. venture capital, totaling $88 billion in rounds ranging from $1 million to under $100 million. Put together, this data point to 2025 being the most concentrated year for U.S. venture capital on record—more clustered at the top than even the peak year of 2021, when startup funding surged year over year. What this implies for the ecosystem - For breakout growth and proven leadership: The market is recognizing and accelerating backing for companies with clear scale paths, strong unit economics, and credible management teams. This can accelerate timelines to growth milestones and international expansion. - For founders outside the top tier: The landscape is tougher. Access to capital is increasingly stratified, which could widen the gap between “high-potential” winners and the broader set of ambitious startups grinding for every round. This doesn’t mean opportunity is gone, but it does heighten the importance of traction signals, defensible moats, and narrative clarity. - For investors and capital allocators: Concentration can amplify risk and returns. It underscores the need for disciplined portfolio design, diversified risk across stages and geographies, and active governance to avoid unwarranted concentration risk. - For policymakers and market observers: The dynamics may influence competition, job creation, and innovation ecosystems. Monitoring implications for small business credit, capital access, and regional development will remain important. Key takeaways for builders, investors, and ecosystems - Emphasize scalable unit economics and sustainable growth plans to attract or justify large rounds. - Build a compelling, data-backed narrative around market opportunity, defensibility, and governance. - Consider diversified funding strategies and strategic partnerships to maintain resilience outside the top tier. - Stay alert to the macro mix of liquidity, interest rates, and IPO/exit windows that influence venture dynamics. If you’re navigating this environment, focus on signal-rich traction, clear milestones, and a long-term narrative that connects product-market fit with a scalable path to profitability. Tran Mandalore Partners • 31K followers Founder-centric investment approaches are reshaping how enduring companies are built. Traditional investment often focuses on short-term gains or quick exits. But lasting success demands active partnership with founders, aligned on long-term vision and operational support. At Mandalore Partners, we prioritize this founder-centric model, blending strategic capital with hands-on guidance. This approach has empowered startups to navigate complex markets, scale sustainably, and create real value beyond initial funding rounds. For example, in the insurtech sector, startups benefiting from this model have seen accelerated growth by integrating expert advice on governance and go-to-market strategies, not just receiving capital. This results in stronger businesses capable of adapting and thriving through market shifts. For founders, this means having a partner who understands your vision, supports execution, and shares your commitment to building a resilient company. For most of the SaaS era, revenue scaled with sales headcount. Linear business: more reps → more revenue. The “supernovas” today look different. But most teams benchmark against models that aren’t replicable: 1) Viral single-player products (Cursor / Lovable / Replit) 2) Brute-force early land grabs (Harvey / Sierra) 3) One-off structural advantages (Abridge + Epic, Mercor, OpenEvidence) If you don’t have one of those, you’re playing a different game. A few patterns I’m seeing work for everyone else: Land with the smallest atomic unit (and make expansion inevitable) Sell outcomes, not software Forward-deploy to prove ROI (then transfer the skill) Use standalone agents as wedges that pull the platform in Treat consumption pricing as nuanced—tokens only matter when they map to ROI Full post here: https://lnkd.in/gzzX2Bvb #AI #SaaS #GTM #Startups #B2B #Pricing 8 Kit Yu 33K followers We expect NTAP to continue to be a leader in the all flash market. While the overall external storage market is only expected to grow 4% yoy in 2025, there were pockets of faster growth in certain media types (all flash +16% year-over-year) and data storage types (file +6%). Looking into 2026, IDC forecasts external storage to accelerate to +8% year-over-year growth lead by continued momentum in all flash (+13% yoy) and a recovery in block storage (+11% yoy). As a mature player with stable market share, we expect NTAP's top line to grow largely in-line with the industry in 2026 (+7% year-over-year growth in C2026, GSe). 🌱🤝🌎🚀Robert Porter TDK Ventures • 2K followers Venture is rarely decided by the polished meeting itself. The real work, and usually the real insight, comes afterward: how a founder thinks under pressure, how they handle hard questions, and what starts to emerge once the rehearsed version is out of the way. 16 1 Comment Show more posts Show fewer posts Explore top content on LinkedIn Find curated posts and insights for relevant topics all in one place.
