# Trade Ideas' Perspective on COVID19 is a Marker of a Changing Stock Market

Doors of the World, Andre Vincent Gonclaves My partner sent out this communication about Trade Ideas' preparations in advance of the COVID-19 pandemic to our team and advisors over the weekend. It rightly highlights the advantageous position of not just Trade Ideas, but of the rising interest and engagement in the U.S. stock market. This is a marker of how things won't be quite the same again as a result of these events. Increased market participation makes sense given zero-commissions and the fact that employees and managers are now working from home, away from corporate firewalls, and not watching any March Madness! This communication also highlights our long-held values of Freedom and Putting Employees first, so they can properly assist in delivering world-class support for our clients. Dear Trade Ideas family, I hope you are all doing well as we experience this unexpected life turbulence. Please prioritize your family and personal needs to make sure you are all well first. As of right now, Trade Ideas is staying open while the U.S. stock market is open. Lucky for us we have always had the culture to have people work from home. It is comforting to know we are ahead of the curve in so many ways. While many things all around are closing, the Stock Market, which is our place of business, will most likely remain open for the longest period. For us, everything is continuing as normal. We are open and will serve our customers as they navigate the most volatile and exciting market environment in history. In terms of support specifically, this is the time to go the extra mile, understanding the stresses that are upon many people. As sports and most other entertainment is closed, it would not be surprising to see an influx of new business as people realize that the stock market is the only game still open. Many new eyes are focused on the stock market right now. Trade Ideas is here to help. Sincerely, Daniel Mirkin CEO and Senior Managing Partner I'll add my two cents on the situation since you've read this far already. This feels more like 9/11 than the 2008 crisis As long as known, tested cases are perceived to be lagging (and therefore smaller vs) unknown, pervasive cases we're in the bottom with no end. Once those rates and the lines they represent cross, we buy the dip Would love to hear your thoughts as well.
