Kirkwood is a neighbor-oriented community with many parks and annual neighborhood events such as the Annual Spring Fling and Kirkwood Wine Crawl. Originally developed in 1870, Kirkwood was first known as a beautiful suburb of Atlanta. Kirkwood is one of the early streetcar suburbs and had express service to and from Atlanta daily.
