Check 4: Transitions, Penetrations, and Wall
Terminations 
Hold Point: All transitions and penetrations must be fully detailed before flood test. 
Wall Terminations 
[ ] Membrane laps a minimum of 6 in. up all vertical surfaces: walls, curbs, door thresholds 
[ ] Membrane is fully adhered to the vertical substrate: no tenting or gaps at the cove 
[ ] Top edge of membrane is terminated with a bar, caulk bead, or counter-flashing per FM detail 
[ ] No exposed membrane edges at any wall or curb termination 
[ ] Threshold details are continuous: no gaps at door frame corners 
Penetrations (pipes, conduit, posts) 
[ ] All penetrations are pre-sleeved or have a formed flashing before membrane installation 
[ ] Membrane wraps a minimum of 6 in. up each penetration sleeve 
[ ] No membrane is cut or notched around a penetration without a formed patch 
[ ] Caulk or sealant is applied at the membrane-to-sleeve termination per FM detail 
[ ] All penetrations are within 12 in. of a drain or scupper (confirm with FM detail if not) 
Coves and Inside Corners 
[ ] Cove fillet or cant strip is installed at all wall-to-deck transitions before membrane 
[ ] Membrane bridges the cove continuously: no bridging or air pockets at inside corners 
[ ] Outside corners are folded and adhered: no open miters 
TTP (Through-the-Parapet) Pockets 
[ ] TTP pockets are fully formed before membrane installation 
[ ] Membrane laps into the pocket per FM detail: no short laps at the pocket opening 
[ ] Pocket is sealed at the exterior face before flood test
