# The Boardwalk at Town Center

The Boardwalk at Town Center Recreation & Parks 678-512-3200 11360 Lakefield Drive Johns Creek, GA 30097 About The Boardwalk at Town Center As part of the Town Center transformation, The Boardwalk at Town Center includes a mix of active and passive park amenities. The park is now open to the public! A key component of the Johns Creek Town Center , the 20-acre property is located adjacent to City Hall and is bordered by Medlock Bridge Road, stretching between Johns Creek Parkway and East Johns Crossing.  While the north pond and south pond areas are open to the public, crews continue working on punch list items. The Medlock Bridge Pedestrian Crossing & Tunnel will open in summer 2026 (details below). View the list of upcoming Summer Concerts to be held at The Boardwalk at Town Center. The Boardwalk at Town Center features a 15-foot wide elevated trail, bandshell and amphitheater, terraced seating, pond overlooks, and pedestrian plazas. The Boardwalk at Town Center Behind City Hall, 11362 Lakefield Drive Hours of Operation: 6 a.m. to midnight Park Features 15-foot wide trail surrounding the pond and constructed wetland area Terraced seating Amphitheater with a deck over the water Pedestrian Plazas & Pond overlooks Boardwalk Trail The Boardwalk at Town Center trail is approximately one mile from Johns Creek Parkway headed north to McGinnis Ferry Road. The North Pond loop is approximately a half mile. Parking Public parking and ADA parking are available at Johns Creek City Hall, 11360 Lakefield Drive. Pedestrians can access The Boardwalk at Town Center by taking the path to the left of the City Hall front entrance. Construction Updates Construction underway on the Town Center Pedestrian Crossing and Tunnel The City broke ground on the tunnel in November 2024. The new pedestrian tunnel will provide a safe, accessible crossing under Medlock Bridge Road (SR 141), connecting residents and visitors to the vibrant Town Center area and the new park behind Johns Creek City Hall. Key highlights of the project include: The crossing will link the Town Center to retail and restaurants on the west side of Medlock Bridge Road, inviting travelers to explore and enjoy the area. The design features a beautiful arch culvert underpass, creating a welcoming gateway into Johns Creek. This tunnel is part of a broader vision to connect our community and establish a thriving Town Center as a hub for both residents and visitors. This project will be a key part of Johns Creek’s growth and future, providing safe, easy access to the Town Center and enhancing our City’s connectivity. Construction is expected to be completed in summer 2026 with the opening of The Boardwalk at Town Center. Location of the pedestrian tunnel.
