How to reference FM Tested Transition Profiles in your drawing set. 
What Are TTP Details? 
FM's Tested Transition Profiles (TTP) are prescriptive installation details for every transition condition in a
balcony waterproofing assembly. Each detail has a number and a specific application. Using TTP numbers
in the drawing set eliminates ambiguity about how the membrane turns a corner, terminates at a wall, or
integrates with a scupper.

TTP-1 Deck-to-wall termination All perimeter wall conditions 
TTP-2 Cove and fillet at vertical Interior corners, curb bases 
TTP-3 Threshold and door transition Sliding door and unit entry conditions 
TTP-4 Scupper integration All scupper drain conditions 
TTP-5 Drain bowl and clamping ring Interior drain conditions 
TTP-6 Railing post pocket Post-set railing embed conditions

How to Reference in the Drawing Set 
On the waterproofing plan sheet: 
Call out each transition condition with a detail bubble 
Reference: "See FM TTP-[number], install per FM published detail" 
Include TTP drawings in the drawing set as a bound exhibit or Appendix sheet

On the specification (Division 07): 
List applicable TTP numbers in Part 1 Submittals 
State: "Install all transitions per applicable FM TTP detail" 
Require installer to confirm TTP selection at pre-installation meeting 
Flood Test Drawing Note 
Add this note to the waterproofing plan sheet: 
FLOOD TEST REQUIRED: 24-hour flood test to be performed after S60 membrane cure and before
DM2 drainage mat installation. Notify architect 48 hours prior. Test results to be documented and
included in FM warranty submittal package. 
Common Drawing Set Mistakes 
Showing a generic membrane at transitions without referencing TTP numbers: leaves the method to
the installer 
Omitting the railing embed detail from the waterproofing sheet: railing sub assumes it is structural
scope 
No flood test note on the drawing: GC treats it as optional 
TTP drawings not bound in the set: installer cannot verify what was specified
