The patterns aren’t just technical—publishers, studios, and partners are all weighing new trade-offs around speed, creativity, and trust as generative tools and agentic systems become routine. On Saturday, I had a moment to reflect. I realized the bigger shift isn’t about which AI model is trending, but about how all stakeholders are now rethinking collaboration and co-creation. Suddenly, expertise and workflow flexibility are more valuable than headcount scale, and shared risk is becoming the norm in contracts. It’s clear that even as legal and operational frameworks play catch-up, the real opportunity is building partnerships that adapt as quickly as the tech itself. If you’re on the front lines of AI or working with external teams in games, how have your expectations or agreements changed this year? Curious what new norms you’re seeing as the industry sorts out responsibility, control, and creative ownership in this new environment. And Claude is a lot more capable than most people realize. The biggest mindset shift? Treating Claude less like a search engine and more like a collaborative thinking partner. Curiosity and openness: Start with optimism. What can AI make possible? Acceleration, not substitution: AI can augment our creativity—helping us brainstorm, visualize, and prototype faster—but it doesn’t replace human judgment or care. Responsible adoption, authentic output: Use AI when it adds value. Avoid defaulting to it. And whatever we make should still feel meaningfully ours. Inspired by a tip from Brian Williams at Viget, we’re giving our team a monthly AI subsidy to explore. $25/mo to play, test, and learn. Because the only way to have a real opinion on AI is to use it. Curious how others are approaching this. What’s your studio’s stance? 37 4 Comments Bibhabari Rath Assudani Motionmind Ventures • 5K followers #MotionmindVentures Film Business Tips Building Your Investor Pitch Package "Your pitch package makes or breaks financing efforts. The most surprising insight? The teams getting the best results aren't using the most advanced technology. They're thinking differently about what to automate. Most creative leaders make the same critical mistake: they focus on automating content production. They build elaborate systems to generate more social posts, more blog articles, more video scripts. The result is usually a flood of mediocre content that creates more work—reviewing, editing, and often completely rewriting what the AI produced. The most successful teams take a fundamentally different approach. They don't automate content creation. They automate content decisions. Let me explain what this means in practice: Instead of asking AI to write your social posts, build a system that analyzes which topics, formats, and tones are resonating with your audience. One agency I worked with created a workflow that automatically tracks content performance, identifies patterns, and suggests strategic pivots. They produce less content overall, but it performs dramatically better. Instead of using AI to generate endless variations of ad copy, set up a system that tests small batches of concepts and automatically identifies which emotional triggers and messaging angles convert. A boutique studio implemented this approach and cut their production volume by 60% while increasing conversion rates by 23%. Instead of automating your entire production pipeline, focus on removing the creative bottlenecks—the handoffs and decision points where projects stall. A production house built an AI approval workflow that automatically nudges the right stakeholders at the right time with exactly the context they need to make quick decisions. Projects that used to take weeks now close in days. The pattern is clear: the best automation doesn't replace creative thinking—it amplifies it. It doesn't generate more stuff—it generates better decisions about what stuff to make. This shift requires a different mindset. Stop asking, "How can AI help us create more content?" Start asking, "How can AI help us make better creative decisions faster?" This means building systems that gather insights, identify patterns, test hypotheses, and provide strategic direction—not just churn out deliverables. The teams winning with AI are the ones using it as a decision accelerator, not a content factory. They're automating the thinking, not just the doing. The result? More strategic impact. Less busywork. Higher quality output. And perhaps most importantly, more time and mental space for the creative work that truly matters. What decision bottlenecks in your creative workflow could be automated to free up your team's best thinking? 1 Jennifer Bagley CI Web Group, Inc… • 7K followers We all know that feeling. The one where a new technology feels so big, so revolutionary, that it's hard to know where to even begin. It's easy to get stuck in the "analysis paralysis" phase, waiting for the perfect moment or the perfect plan. But what if the secret to success is simply to just start? That's the powerful message at the heart of a recent episode of "The Catalyst for the Trades Podcast," featuring Chelsea Nodine the Senior Director of Digital Transformation at CI Web Group. The episode, titled "AI-Enabled Workflows & Agentic Networks," is a must-watch for anyone in this community who is serious about leveraging AI to accelerate their business. You can watch it here: https://lnkd.in/gPrBx9qn From Biology to AI-Powered Business Transformation One of the most inspiring parts of the podcast is Chelsea's own story. With a background in biology, she proves that you don't need to be a coder or a data scientist to lead the charge in AI adoption. Her journey is a testament to the power of curiosity, a willingness to learn, and the courage to take that first step. It perfectly embodies the "just start" philosophy that our community is built on. AI as Your Co-Pilot, Not Your Replacement The podcast does an excellent job of demystifying AI, framing it not as a threat to human jobs, but as a powerful tool for augmentation. By creating AI-enabled workflows and "agentic networks," we can automate the repetitive, time-consuming tasks that bog us down. This frees up our most valuable resource—our people—to focus on what they do best: strategy, creativity, and building relationships. Think of it as the difference between running a marathon and a series of sprints. The old way of doing things, like traditional SEO, was a long, slow grind. With AI, we can achieve results faster than ever before, giving us a significant competitive edge. Your "Just Start" Moment is Now This podcast is a powerful reminder that the future isn't some distant concept; it's being built right now. The tools and technologies to transform your business are already here. The only thing missing is your decision to just start. So, I encourage you to watch the full episode and then come back here to share your thoughts. What was your biggest takeaway? What's one small step you can take this week to start your own AI-powered transformation? Let's get the conversation started! 2 Shivam Bhateja EMIAC Technologies • 18K followers Break language barriers in real time: Gemini’s speech-to-speech translation goes live! #Gemini now translates speech to speech in real time, preserving intonation, pacing, and speaker identity—even in noisy environments. We were catching up and talking about life, the Design MBA program, and...the state of design. I asked him what I ask every design leader and agency owner I know... 1) What does AI mean to you and your business? 2) How are you using AI tools/materials with clients? 3) Which AI tools do you think are worth trying? Though most people I've spoken with talk about AI tools as something they use to help them create content or parse through data, Nick had a different answer. Yes, he uses AI to help make sense of HUGE data sets, like the time he surfaced trends from 40 million Airbnb reviews, then applied human intelligence to find the meaning. And...he also uses AI to do EXACTLY what product and engineering teams are doing, which is to use AI-assisted tools, like Cursor, to create real, working (i.e., coded) UX from designs, which he can then hand directly to engineering teams, thereby narrowing the gap between design and production, and...(almost) completely removing the metaphorical wall designers typically throw design specs over. Oh...and by the way, his clients did not ask for this. They asked and expected him to hand over Figma specs, as per usual. He didn't. Instead, he handed them exactly what they needed to move forward. To me, this is EXACTLY what innovators, product people, designers, and design leaders must start doing. And Nick proved that A) it works, and B) his clients love it. This is all about creating and delivering MORE value than the client/customer expects. It's a perfect use case for AI. We spoke about this and TONS more in depth during my Design Shift interview with him. Check it out this Saturday! Everyone's celebrating Gemini's new task automation like it's a cool party trick. They're missing the seismic shift happening right under their noses. I just spent 3 hours testing Gemini's automation on real client workflows. It flawlessly handled: email sorting, calendar management, follow-up sequences, basic research, and appointment booking. Tasks that cost my clients $2,500/month in VA fees. The math is brutal: • Virtual assistant: $2,500/month • Gemini automation: $20/month • Time to set up: 4 hours • Accuracy rate: 94% (higher than most VAs) Here's what most agencies won't tell you - this isn't just about saving money. It's about speed. Gemini executes in real-time while VAs work in 4-8 hour cycles. For lead response, that gap kills conversions. The Automation Replacement Matrix I use with clients: • Level 1: Simple triggers (email sorting) - Replace immediately • Level 2: Multi-step workflows (booking + follow-up) - Replace by July • Level 3: Complex judgment calls - Keep human oversight for now By September 2026, any business still paying $2K+ for basic admin work will be bleeding money to competitors who automated.
