Check 1: Substrate Readiness Before Primer 
Hold Point: Do not apply primer until every item below passes. 
Concrete Cure 
[ ] Concrete is fully cured: minimum 28 days 
[ ] No new pours within the last 28 days adjacent to the work area 
[ ] Lightweight concrete or gypsum deck: confirm compatibility with FM technical team before
primer 
Moisture 
[ ] Substrate is dry: no visible moisture, efflorescence, or standing water 
[ ] Moisture meter reading is within acceptable range (confirm threshold with FM spec sheet) 
[ ] No rain or dew forecast during the primer flash-off window 
[ ] No irrigation, HVAC condensate, or adjacent water sources active during application 
Surface Condition 
[ ] Substrate is free of oil, grease, curing compounds, laitance, and form release agents 
[ ] All cracks wider than 1/16 in. are patched and cured before primer 
[ ] All spalled or delaminated areas are repaired and cured 
[ ] Surface is broom-clean: no dust, debris, or standing water 
Slope and Drainage 
[ ] Deck slope is a minimum 1/8 in. per foot toward drains or scuppers 
[ ] No ponding areas identified: all low spots corrected before waterproofing begins 
[ ] Drain rough-in is complete and set at the correct elevation 
[ ] Scupper rough-in is complete and set before membrane work begins (see Check 5)
