The Forest Explorer Trail is a 1/3-mile, semi-loop that features a series of stations challenging the trail user to see more, do more, and learn more. Children of all ages will learn about the forest environment, perform simple activities for exercise and movement, and develop observation skills to explore the local "NeighborWoods." Find your way through with the Forest Explorer Map . Scale Outdoor Railroad:  run by Kitsap Live Steamers , Entrance at 3101 SE Marbeth Lane, Port Orchard Batting Cages:  run by Casey's Batting Range , Entrance at 2841 SE Lund Ave, Port Orchard Park Rules & FAQs Restrooms : The restrooms​ located by the skate park are currently closed for repairs due to vandalism . The restroom located by the playground will be  closed annually for the winter season from October 1st through March 31st. PARK RENTAL FACILITY - SOUTH KITSAP REGIONAL PARK ATHLETIC FIELDS ​ Rates: $20 per hour per field* *$25 Administrative Fee will be added to each transaction.   Field #1: Grass field for Soccer and Multi-Use ​ ​ Field #2: Grass field for Little League Baseball, Softball, Soccer ​ Field #3:   Grass field for Little League Baseball, Softball, Soccer ​ No pets, bicycles, skateboards, roller blades, skates or private vehicles are allowed on any County Athletic Field at any time. ​ SOUTH KITSAP REGIONAL PARK PICNIC SHELTER ​- 2841 SE LUND AVE, PORT ORCHARD Capacity:  Seats approx. 48 ​ Includes:  6 picnic tables, 1 group BBQ​ Daily Rental Fee:  $120 $25 Administrative Fee will be added to each transaction.  ​ Rental Months:  April - September Hours of Operation:  10am - 8pm Special Use Permit will be posted at location. Please be aware that all park BBQs have been removed due to the current Stage II Burn Ban issued by the Kitsap County Fire Marshal.
