# Seaward Avenue Beach in Ventura, CA - California Beaches

Photo Gallery View all 12 images About Seaward Avenue Beach in Ventura, California Seaward Avenue Beach is the wide sandy beach in front of Ventura’s Seaward Avenue Beach District. This neighborhood and shopping area is centered on the intersection of Pierpont Boulevard and Seaward Avenue west of Highway 101. A hotel called Inn on the Beach is right on the beach with excellent views toward the Channel Islands from the ocean side balconies. Just a short walk from the beach you can find several restaurants and shops, but this beach doesn’t get as many tourists as beaches near downtown Ventura. Seaward Beach is property of the state as part of San Buenaventura State Beach , but it’s the city that provides a small parking lot and restrooms where Seaward Ave hits the shoreline. If you walk on the beach about a half-mile north you will be at the main part of the state park. In the summertime there will be a lifeguard here, but the rip currents can be strong so be careful if you plan to swim or play in the surf.
