# St. Johns County

Beach Access From dune walkovers, driving beaches and the beach accessible wheelchair program, there are a variety of ways to access and enjoy St. John’s County’s coastline. Motor vehicles are allowed on designated sections of St. Johns County beaches. From March 1 through September 30 , all vehicles accessing the beach must pay a toll and display a valid beach pass. Daily and annual passes are available for purchase at beach access ramps. Beach Driving Passes & Fees Vehicle Access Ramps & Toll Booth Locations The following access ramps allow for authorized vehicular entry to St. Johns County beaches (weather and tide conditions permitting): Vilano Beach Ramp – Vilano Road, St. Augustine, FL 32084 Porpoise Point Ramp – Between 431 &  501 Porpoise Point Drive, St. Augustine, FL 32084 A Street Ramp – Between 1A & 2A ‘A’ Street, St. Augustine Beach, FL 32080 Ocean Trace Road Ramp – Between 1 & 2 Ocean Trace Road, St. Augustine Beach, FL 32080 Dondanville Road Ramp – Between 2 & 1 Dondanville Road, St. Augustine, FL 32080 Matanzas Avenue Ramp – Matanzas Ave, St. Augustine, FL 32080 Mary Street Ramp – 5705 Gloria Ave, St. Augustine, FL 32080 Crescent Beach Ramp – Cubbedge Road, St. Augustine, FL 32080 *Please note that access may be limited or restricted based on beach conditions. Southern Access (ADA ACCESSIBLE) 📍 Map Location Parking: 94 spaces / 5 ADA spots Beach Access ADA accessible wooden boardwalk is approximately 180 linear feet with a viewing platform Access requires crossing Coastal Highway. Please use designated crosswalks and signals for safety. Note: The ADA ramp ends in soft sand. Visitors must cross approximately 30 feet of soft sand to reach hard-packed sand. Middle Access 📍 Map Location Parking: 80 spaces Beach Access Wooden boardwalk is approximately 180 linear feet with several stairs. Access requires crossing Coastal Highway. Please use designated crosswalks and signals for safety. Northern Access 📍 Map Location Parking: 70 spaces Beach Access Wooden boardwalk is over 300 linear feet with several stair step going up and over the dunes. Access requires crossing Coastal Highway. Please use designated crosswalks and signals for safety. Other Information: This is not a St. Johns County Managed facility. Access requires crossing Coastal Highway. Please use designated crosswalks and signals for safety. Amenities: Restrooms (ADA Accessible) Showers             Corn Hole Bike Rack Nease House Park 📍 Map Location Parking Spaces: 14 spots/ 1 ADA Beach Access: Wooden boardwalk is approximately 145 linear feet in length with 27 stair steps down to the sand. Access requires crossing Coastal Highway. Please use designated crosswalks and signals for safety. Amenities: Restrooms (ADA Accessible) Pavillion attached to Nease House Picnic tables Nature boardwalk to the intracoastal Surfside 📍 Map Location Parking: 35 space/ 2 ADA Beach Access Northern Wooden Boardwalk Access: Approximately 50 feet long with 2 steps. Southern Access: Footpath shared with specially permitted vehicular access. Amenities Restrooms (ADA Accessible) Showers Pavillion (First come first serve. No reservation is required.) Picnic Tables Grill Lifeguard Tower Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend Vilano Beach 📍 Map Location Parking: 37 spaces/ 3 ADA (Additional parking throughout the area) Beach Access Northern Access : Features a Mobi-Mat for easier access and is separated from the vehicular access area by fencing. Middle Boardwalk Access: Includes an ADA-accessible viewing area. Please note: The boardwalk has 14 steps leading down to the sand and does not provide ADA access to the beach itself. Southern Boardwalk Access: Spans approximately 140 linear feet and includes 25 steps crossing over the dune. Vehicular Beach Access Access via Vilano Road (4WD vehicles only). Beach parking capacity is limited to 45 vehicles. No vehicular access is permitted to Porpoise Point. A ramped pedestrian access is shared with vehicular traffic. Horseback Riding is not permitted within park boundaries. The area hosts an assortment of protected species such as least terns, Anastasia Island Beach Mice, gopher tortoises, and sea turtles.
